Call the number for member services on the back of your insurance card and ask the representative the following questions:
What is my nutrition counseling benefit for an in-network provider?**
How many nutrition sessions can I have per calendar year?
Should my visits be billed as preventative or medical?
Will there be a cost-share to me? Specifically, will I owe a deductible, copayment or coinsurance?
** This pertains to BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Uniited, Oxford, Meritain and UMR members. If you have another carrier, we may not be in network.
Get a reference number for your call so we can prove what they originally quoted.
